Description
Illustrated with a large number of contemporary b&w photos and some colour photos, the booklet presents the career of the German fighter ace Adolf Glunz, who achieved a total of 72 aerial victories and ten unconfirmed shoot-downs in 574 enemy flights, 238 of which involved contact with the enemy, and was also able to shoot down two Soviet tanks on the Eastern Front. Among other things, childhood and youth, the path to becoming a fighter pilot, Fighter Squadron 52, first successes, deployment on the Western Front, back to the English Channel, Fighter Squadron 26, Operation "Cerberus", 1942 - the successes increase, the new Commodore, the "Mosquito" defeater, the first four-mot firing, the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, squadron leader, officer and squadron captain, bearer of the 508th Knight's Cross. Eichenlaubs zum Ritterkreuz, Reichsluftverteidigung, the last victory, Jagdgeschwader 7, end of war and post-war period, successes as a racing driver.
