The italian manufacturer Italeri was founded in 1962 by two modellers, who were unsatisfied with the offer then. Italeri is now famous in the world and could confirm its place during the decades, because of being technically always up to date. One highlight of this development is the biggest model kit oft he world at that time: The german S-Boat S-100 from WWII in 1/35.
