The Mc Laren MP4/2 was one of the most successful cars with the most victories in the history of Formula 1. The MP4/2B debuted in 1985, equipped with a TAG-Porsche engine supercharged by two superchargers and producing 850 hp, as well as aerodynamic devices that were less conspicuous than those of the previous models and that complied with the new regulations. Winning both the Constructors' and Drivers' World Championships, thanks in part to the exceptional talent of Alain Prost, confirmed the effectiveness of the project. In 1986, the design was further improved with the MP4/2C version and Alain Prost again became world champion in the new season. Another great Formula 1 talent, the Finnish driver Keke Rosberg, also joined the team. Winning three drivers' and two constructors' world championships, the McLaren MP4/2 has earned a place of honour in the hearts of Formula One fans and enthusiasts.
