This study exposes for the first time the deep structures of the culture and tradition of the European military controlled by the Christian myth. There were many correspondences in society to the religiously defined forms of organisation, order of battle and drill regulations, including the contemporaneous development of the Ballet Royal. These are found in harmony with each other and are understood as God-ordained.
In this context, the Christian education of the soldier, especially the officer, enforced by brute force, becomes the binding agent of the organisation and the guarantors of total control over violence, delimitation and containment in war and peace. With the destruction of this order, understood as God's will, in the 19th and 20th centuries, the military education dominated by violence became independent and became one of the causes of the excesses of violence and mass murder in the world wars. Analogies to today's Russian military come to mind.
