The other soldiers - these were all those whom the Wehrmacht initially did not want, who were considered "unworthy of military service" by the National Socialists. Many of them were resistance fighters, imprisoned in penitentiaries or concentration camps. But Hitler's army commanders needed more and more soldiers, and so from 1942 the opponents of the regime were forced to wear the uniform of the hated Nazi state and go to war.
Nevertheless, they did not give up the fight against the National Socialists. Joachim Käppner tells the story of people who resisted evil - and are unjustly forgotten.
