Uniform and Equipment 1939-1945. The basis for this book is one of the most extensive collections of German uniforms of the Second World War, which is in the possession of the Spanish collector A. Saiz. The collection consists for the most part of first-class preserved original pieces. The structure of the chapters is based on the everyday life of an ordinary soldier. In addition to the complete uniform, a large number of illustrations of collection items from all areas of daily life are shown: food, leisure, tobacco, hygiene, cameras, documents .....
This book is also a richly illustrated life story of the German soldier Anton Imgrund. Private photos of his enlistment, uniforming, training up to his deployment at the front bear witness in a unique way to the hardships and desires, fears and privations of ordinary soldiers during the Second World War. The author provides a representative insight into the everyday life of soldiers by means of pieces of uniform, equipment and weapons, but also with countless personal items from all walks of life. The well-founded explanations show in detail the changes in clothing and equipment in the course of the war and their immediate impact on life at the front.

Agustín Sáiz Born in Madrid in 1961 Since graduating in Information Science from the Complutense University of Madrid he has now dedicated well over 20 years to the world of advertising and serving multinational clients. In the last decades, he has acquired a collection that is in no way inferior to some museums in terms of originality and variety of pieces. Through numerous trips and close contacts with collectors from all over the world, Agustín's collection continued to grow, and thanks to his flair and extensive research, he always managed to find out interesting and almost forgotten details about his pieces. In all these efforts, however, he never lost sight of the most important thing: the soldier as a human being.
