The term Marcomannic Wars covers the conflicts between the Roman Empire and the Germanic and Sarmatian tribes mainly in the area of the middle Danube (Moravia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania). They took place under the reign of Emperor Marcus Aurelius from 166 to 180.
