Description
The model measures approximately 48cm in length and follows the traditional model design approach, requiring the use of cement for assembly.
The model kit offers the option to assemble the ship with either a full hull or a waterline configuration. Thorough research and attention to detail have ensured the accurate depiction of the ship's 2023 updated status, including modified passageways and the addition of remote-controlled machine gun platforms. The model also including an array of carrier-based aircraft not only the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet but also the F-35C Lightning II and the MQ-25 "Stingray" unmanned aerial vehicle.
The USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), named after the 38th President of the United States, General Gerald R. Ford. As the lead ship of the Ford class, USS Gerald R Ford (CVN 78), was delivered to the US navy in May 2017 and commissioned in July 2017.
The Ford-class is the first new U.S. aircraft carrier designed in more than 40 years, design incorporates an unprecedented 23 new technologies and improvements, which represents a generational leap in the U.S. Navys capacity to project power on a global scale.
