Plastic Model Kits

HobbyBoss brand, it has built up a good reputation in the field of plastic model making over many years. Military history fans in particular get their money's worth with its product range: HobbyBoss offers countless models of military vehicles, aircraft and ships.

HobbyBoss: History

Yatai Electric Appliances Co. began in the 1990s with copies of popular models from Tamiya, Revell and other well-known manufacturers. The products were not entirely convincing at first, but the quality of the model kits improved steadily over the following years. The company offers a variety of plastic model kits under its brands Trumpeter and HobbyBoss.

HobbyBoss: product range

Many of the 1/48 kits from HobbyBoss are versions of the 1/32 kits from the Trumpeter brand. Fans of military model kits in particular get their money's worth at HobbyBoss.

In 1/16th scale, HobbyBoss offers well-known tank models such as various versions of the Tiger I and the T34. The range also includes various aircraft and helicopter models in 1:18 scale. Yatai also offers 1:32 scale aircraft models such as various versions of the B-24, A-26 or the IL-2. There is even the IL-2 version with ski skids> available.

HobbyBoss has a variety of military vehicles for collectors and modellers in its 1:35 scale range, as well as some aircraft models such as various versions of the Fieseler Storch.

In addition to classic historical military vehicles such as various versions of the M26 Pershing heavy US tank, Panther, Tiger II, Jagdtiger or Flakpanzer V, there are also models of modern vehicles such as the Coyote or the PLA ZTQ-15 tank of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. A large number of matching figure sets complete the 1:35 range.

Numerous historical and modern military aircraft as well as some military vehicles such as thePanther are offered in 1:48 scale.

A special feature is the selection of war locomotives, armoured trains and railway guns in this scale.Reconnaissance and transport aircraft are offered by HobbyBoss in 1:144 scale.

A large number of ships and submarines are available in the scales 1:200, 1:350 and 1:700. In addition to the many military model kits, the brand also offers the Titanic as a model. The famous passenger ship is available in the scales 1:700 and 1:550. The model has an overall length of 387.5 mm or 482 mm and is a beautiful eye-catcher in both versions.

The Snap-Kit series from HobbyBoss offers well-known aeroplanes, such as the SU-57, as clip-on models and is particularly suitable for young modellers. Incidentally, there is a similar series from Airfix>: Quick-Build.
